Red Dead Redemption II is a continuation of the Wild West saga published by games developer Rockstar, for both Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The game features both single player and multiplayer content, set in history, at a period where cowboys ruled the American landscape.
Old Western Adventure
Red Dead Redemption II and its predecessor are both games set in the Wild West period of American history, following a single protagonist. The player must complete a series of missions set across a large, expansive map, interacting with a range of NPCs and gathering items. The game features weapon-based combat with era-appropriate firearms, as well as battle with mother nature, with numerous animals dotted around the map to contend with. Transportation is possible on horseback, as well as through a variety of other modes, including horse-drawn carriage. Rockstar games are well-known for their strong single player storylines, though the game also includes a range of online-only multiplayer modes.
Red Dead Redemption II continues a franchise that garnered much positive acclaim. The game is enjoyable in both single and multiplayer format, though a PC version would be a welcome addition, as would the opportunity for local couch co-op or competitive modes.
